Alan Brenham recently sat down with The Big Thrill to discuss his latest international suspense, BREAKING SILENCE.

A novel is such a major undertaking; there’s the writing of it, of course, then you’re spending months and months revising, polishing, and then promoting it. How did you know this was the book you wanted to spend the next couple of years on?

With two books in the Claire Deveraux series already published, I wanted to add the next book to the series.

Were there any particular books, movies, or songs that were knocking around in your head while you were writing this one?

There weren’t any particular books or songs knocking around in my head but there was one movie: the 2011 film titled Warrior that I kept thinking about.

What can you share about what you’re working on next?

My next book will be the second in the Kit Hanover police procedural series. This time she will have her hands full dealing with a Las Vegas mobster who ordered a hit in Fort Worth.
