Josh Rosen and Bubbe by L. A. Starks
Josh Rosen is a recurring character in the Lynn Dayton thriller series. This story about Josh and his grandmother was inspired by a former neighbor who was a Holocaust survivor.
From the author: I worked on this story over a period of years. I kept setting it aside because it didn’t fit the narrative arc and pace of my thrillers. I recently found several versions of it and revised it again to be a stand-alone short story. While we are supposed to be somewhat immune to our own works particularly after countless revisions, the last paragraph of “Josh Rosen and Bubbe” can still bring tears to my eyes.
JOSH ROSEN AND BUBBE is available from Amazon.
