Lee Barratt, Salem, Massachusetts, television personality and frequent amateur sleuth, is a new bride with a new job assignment. When the WICH station boss adds historical documentaries to the station’s list of programs, he puts Lee in charge of the project. He gives her the fancy title of “Historical Documentary Chief Executive.”
Lee’s first assignment is the Salem International Museum, which will feature traveling exhibits from all over the world. The first exhibit will include pieces from Salem’s historic past. Lee and her videographer, Francine Hunter, are able to film behind-the-scenes footage of the museum as it comes together and interview key players in the project before the museum opens.
Despite tight security around nighttime exhibit deliveries to the museum, a delivery driver is shot and killed. Robbery is suspected, but an examination of the delivery shows that nothing has been stolen. So why was the driver killed?
Lee’s police detective husband, Pete Mondello, heads up the murder investigation, and Lee can’t resist getting involved too. With inside information about who the key players are and how the museum functions, Lee contributes critical clues that assist the official investigation.
NOW YOU SEE IT is a first-class addition to Carol J. Perry’s always-entertaining series. The intricate plot is filled with twists and turns that will keep readers guessing—and entertained—until the very end. Highly recommended.
