This month we have another all-star line-up, starting with a Between the Lines interview with the world’s bestselling author, James Patterson, who talks about his career, his life, and his latest releases in the #1 bestselling Alex Cross and Michael Bennett series.
October also brings a special feature on Andrew Grant and Tasha Alexander, husband and wife authors who are not only related to literary royalty, but each have highly anticipated solo novels coming out this month.
Our Industry Spotlight segment returns with an interview of literary agent Lisa Erbach Vance who represents some of the biggest thriller writers around.
Putting the “I” in International Thriller Writers, this month our International Thrills series covers the UK’s Val McDermid and then there’s Joanne Macgregor in the Africa Scene.

The Thriller Roundtable
Whether you’re a fan or an author, you’ll want to join the Thriller Roundtable discussions at TheBigThrill website, where each week a new group of authors discuss everything from what they love about writing thrillers, to what they’ve learned, and more.
Here’s what’s in store for October!
September 29 – October 5: Dialogue can be tricky, as the author has to give each character a unique voice that is also distinct from his or her own. How do you do it?
October 6 – 12: Do readers prefer a protagonist who is ageless. When should writers provide details on age and when are the details too much?
October 13 – 19: We’ve covered weather, descriptions, settings, but what about the role of “food” in contemporary thrillers? Is there room to eat amidst the chasing?
October 20 – 26: Romance and thrillers – do they mix? What are some of your favorite romantic thrillers?
October 27 – November 2: Are you a writer who loves or loathes revisions?
Authors, don’t miss this promotional opportunity! Participate in the Thriller Roundtable by contacting
J.H. Bográn.
