Head Games by Chuck Rose
Successful Park Avenue psychiatrist Dr. Jonah Hoffman leads a fairly normal life-a good practice, a loving wife and children-until he takes on a dangerous new patient. At first Robert Kolfax, CEO of a Blackwater-like private security firm with secret ops all over the world, seems like a powerful but troubled man in need of Jonah’s help. But Jonah soon discovers that Kolfax is a sociopath. A mass murderer. And what’s worse, he’s untouchable, operating in a jurisdictional bubble.
In an effort to aid his country, Jonah becomes a secret government operative, answering to the shadowy Mr. Price. But Jonah’s undercover operations quickly begin taking over his life, putting himself and everyone close to him in danger. To survive he must leave the safe confines of his Manhattan office and plunge himself into a world of terrorists, mercenaries and spies, and outwit them at their own game.

Chuck Rose is an award-winning filmmaker, playwright and occasional guitar player. His plays include the critically acclaimed Safe, Bedfellows and Weekend In Goshen. Two of his plays, Eye to Eye and The Letter both recently premiered off-Broadway.
Not content to be a starving playwright, he also enjoys not making money doing independent films. He wrote and directed the film Side Effects, starring Arye Gross, for Strike TV. In addition to the acclaim it has garnered on Strike TV, it was also a huge hit on the festival circuit (Best of Fest – Palm Springs Int’l Film Fest, Official Selection – Toronto, Nantucket, Breckenridge, Miami, St. Louis among many others). He is the creator of the television series Sold, about the ruthless dealings in the New York auction world. It is currently in development at Sony Television’s digital channel, Crackle.
Having spent his life overthinking things, Mr. Rose was compelled to write the novel Head Games, the story of Dr. Jonah Hoffman, psychiatrist turned spy, and how he goes from being a man of thought to a man of action. Hopefully it will pay for some of his therapy bills.
Mr. Rose lives in Los Angeles with his beautiful wife and twin son and daughter. They are his greatest success.
