Shape shifters live among us, hidden from the view of humans.  Sasha’s future was stolen from her the moment she was bitten. Now she’s on the run from the Nero Organization that transformed her from a human detective into a shape shifting jaguar assassin.

When a rogue bounty hunter threatens her younger sister, she’ll be forced to fight, and with nowhere else to turn, Sasha will need to trust the one man who has every reason to want her dead.

Aren is a werewolf with a secret. While protecting his twin brother and Alpha of the Pack, he found his one mate for life. Sadly she’s also the jaguar assassin who tried to kill them both. Now Aren is struggling between his animal nature to love and protect her, and his loyalty to the Pack.

The second book of the Moon series by Lisa Kessler is an action-packed book full of twists and turns that will keep readers on the edge of their seat. THE BIG THRILL sat down with the author to talk about the exciting new release that will leave both thriller and suspense readers begging for more.

Will readers picking up this book need to read the first book (MOONLIGHT) to understand the reality?

Not at all. HUNTER’S MOON is part of the Moon Series, but it stands on its own.

Are the characters ones that readers will remember from the previous book?

Yes. The Moon Series unfolds with a werewolf pack in Reno, Nevada and each book reveals more about the nefarious Nero Organization. Every book features a new wolf as our hero, but the rest of the Pack makes appearances in all the books.

Tell us a little about the world that Sasha and Aren live in.

Shape shifters are hidden from the human world in the Moon Series. The werewolf pack lives among us, owning businesses, etc. They shift only one night a month during the full moon so it’s not too difficult to keep their secret, until jaguar assassins from the nero Organization start encroaching into the Pack’s territory leaving mutilated human bodies lying around. The wolf pack works together as a unit very well and relies on the united strength of the Pack to face a powerful foe. Every book unlocks more secrets into the covert government contractor’s true ambitions and plans for the future of all shifters.

What sort of research did you have to do for the book? Is there anything interesting or unique that you discovered in your research that might not have made it into the book?

This book is set in our contemporary world so the biggest research went into weapons that my heroine Sasha uses. She used to be a police detective with a reputation for being a dead eye shot with her Glock. After she’s bitten against her will, she finds herself a jaguar shifter, trapped into working for the Nero Organization as an assassin. My cousin is actually a female detective so she was instrumental in helping me with everything from where women wear their weapons, to how far you can make a kill shot with a pistol, to websites private investigators use to gain intel without going through the police department. Sasha was a fun character to write, but I wouldn’t have been able to pull it off without all the weapons and investigations research from my cousin!

Are there more books planned for the characters or world? If so, what can readers expect?

Yes! The Moon Series will be eight books total. Each member of the Pack gets a book and one of the jaguar men from Nero, Sebastian, will close out the series. He’s a long way from redemption now, but as the books progress in the series, I think readers will appreciate his long journey.

Will you be attending any conventions where readers can meet you for the release?

The next convention I’m scheduled to attend is the RT Booklovers Convention in New Orleans in May.

How about any blog tours or forums where readers can interact with you?

Yes! I’m touring with HUNTER’S MOON right now. You can find info on the Blog Tour here.

This is an original e-release. Is the book available for pretty much every eReader?

It sure is! I even had a reader let me know they were able to buy HUNTER’S MOON through the GooglePlay app store on their Android phone!

How about for the people who love print? Will the book be issued in paper format now or in the future?

It should be available in Print on Demand in the near future. I don’t have a date yet though.

Thanks so much for dropping by THE BIG THRILL.
